Missed Dose

Postby Paul Clarke » 08 Feb 2010, 22:06

Hi Guys,

I discovered recently (Thanks Bob) that you should leave a 30 minute gap between taking hydrocortone and thyroid tablets. This has made a sizeable differance to me. Unfortunately, this morning, I got confused and was unsure whether or not I took the eltroxin. While feeling particularly sh*t all day, I was unwilling to risk taking a double dose of eltroxin. Does anyone know which is the worst of two evils - double dosing or no dosing?

Thanking you in advance,

Paul

says:

What happens if I miss a dose?

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the medicine at the next regularly scheduled time. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.

Paul, I know that that is not quite the question you asked!

I sometime wonder if I should be using one of those old lady's day-marked pill organisers - but then again I only take two pills a day and both packs are marked with the days of the week! Now, if only I could get the hang of reading the packet before starting the week at the wrong end of the packet...

Anyway, I hope you're feeling better now.
