Good point Yasmin.

I will have a look at the software and see if it is possible to change the default setting.

Thanks for that. This is exactly the sort of input I need from all the members. Don't assume someone else will do it. There is no such thing as a silly suggestion. Many of our members were registered with the Pituitary Foundation forum and would have been seen as complaining or awkward for making such suggestions. We run this forum differantly. There are no boses here. No big brother (or sister) to admonish members like children. In fact, this forum is run the opposite way. The only person that is answerable is at the moment, me. Once I have that piece of paper in my hand that says we are a charity, I will be running a poll so the users can vote for who they think would be the best person to manage the charity. The Chairperson/Charity manager will be answerable to the members. Whoever comes second in the poll will be responsible to check on the performance of the manager and will report back to the members at each newsletter.

Yasmin, you are correct in saying that a link should never navigate the user away from the web site and should open in a seperate window. I will investigate this and I have already sent an email to PHPBB to ask them if it is possible. Failing that, there is a facility where you can replace words for example, if you type "P" & "F" together, it changes to Pituitary Foundation . I could use the same logic to change the existing code to force the link to open in a new window.

Keep them coming.

Regards,

Paul
