I am under evaluation for lupus right now. Without insurance I'm at the mercy of free clinic docs and they are strapped for time and money, so getting the tests for this competes hundreds of other patients who also need dx.

Hi Moge,

I have recently become heaavily involved in the Irish Lupus Support Association. As part of my remit, there is an extensive informative web site in development along with a forum that will be run alomg similar lines to Pituitary Chat. This site is aimed at auto-immune disorderrs in general. In the last two years, there have been huge strides made in the treatment of lupus. While the medical profession is faar more aware of the condition now than it was even 5 years ago, the treatments that continue to be thrown at the condition are now considered to be counter productive.

I will update you as more info becomes available. There is currently aa site at www.lupus.ie which is of limited use.

Regards,

Paul
