Grumble

Postby Adrienne » 29 Jul 2010, 19:34

I feel insane. Beyond insane. I had to double my dose of bromocriptine for my prolactinoma the other day and now I either wake up sick, the room is spinning, or I'm crying. I hate crying. It gives me a headache. Part of it is absolute frustration because my prolactin was within normal range a few months ago and now it's skyrocketing again. I feel like Garbanzo (that's my tumor's name) is like a drunk building up tolerance to the meds so I have to take more. Not cool. I want them to take this f'n thing out! NOW! No matter how I try to explain all of this, no one seems to get it. They all downplay how I feel. They all think I'm just lazy and emotional. No. I'm not lazy. I'm just so f'n exhausted all the time that I have to force myself to make the slightest movement and it wears out what little energy I have. I never used to be emotional until Garbanzo started growing up there. Now I want to throw stuff and punch things and scream at the top of my lungs. Unfortunately, I don't want to break my possessions so I can't throw anything and I'm pretty sure my neighbors would have me arrested if I went outside and started screaming and wailing on trees. I can't even take any time off work because I've used all my personal/vacation/sick time dealing with this crap. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I hate Garbanzo...and the cysta (Cysta Wife) that's growing along with him. Sometimes, I get really tempted to stick a pair of tweezers up my nose and take the f'er out myself.

HI Adrienne
I can remember how sick I used to feel on Bromocryptine too. You are not insane you are just unwell. Everyone on this forum gets exactly how you are feeling so keep visiting & we will keep replying. x

Thank you! It helps knowing that there are people who know what this all feels like. There should be more mainstream support groups for those of us inflicted with these stupid things. Until that day comes, I'll just keep logging in here and keep a full supply of Pepto Bismol to keep the nausea from the meds away. :)

They put me back on the lower dose of the bromo. I had a bad reaction to the higher dose. I damn near had a psychotic episode. Actually, I think I was already entering the psychotic state. I'm much better now. Thank goodness! I don't like the crazies! They're scary!
